Master Craft Industrial Equipment makers of heavy duty rough terrain forklifts is seeking an Automotive Painter/Industrial Painter.

Please only apply if you have paint booth experience and working with paint guns. This job DOES NOT involve painting of sheet rock, roofing, housing or any other construction type jobs that require brush and rolling painting. PAINT GUNS ONLY

Job Duties and Description include :

· Thorough knowledge of surface preparation to ensure proper coating adhesion and understanding of paint equipment and paint-booth operation

· Must also be familiar with the various types of metal abrasive treatments such as media -blasting, chemical etching, Degreasers, etc

· Mix paints to specification to spray Automotive/ Industrial Urethane Coatings, water and Solvent based Coating Systems

· Time management: They must be on time for scheduled work shifts, re-prioritize work/tasks in progress, and complete assigned tasks in good time

· Washing, basic rigging, paint prepping, painting, general maintenance etc on parts, steel, aluminum, and equipment.

· Selecting the appropriate tools necessary to execute a job.

· Responsible for prepping the substrate for paint by applying a mechanical etch (sanding/media-blasting), washing the substrate with a chemical etching solution (Alumi-Prep/Phosphate solution), and force drying the substrate with compressed air and fans.

· Utilize equipment such as viscosity cups, thickness gages, and gloss gages to verify the makeup of the paint and use their knowledge of the job to mix the paint to specification.

· Knowledge and understanding of safety equipment such as self-contained suits or protective eyewear and respirator.

· Perform cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work area.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment and observe good safety habits that adhere to all OSHA and HazMat Procedures including the storage and handling of materials in the area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
