• Test recipes and introduce new pastries/ ideas to display and sell.
• Keep inventory of all pastries made and stored in the freezer.
• Keep inventory of all baking supplies.
• Decorate cookies, bars, cakes, etc.
• Checking the condition of ingredients, following instructions for recipes, and examining the quality of the final product.
• Bake and display pastries in a timely manner each morning.
• Keep tools of the trade and workstation clean and sanitized.

• Be able to work alone and/or within a team.
• Be able to lift 40 pounds repetitively.
• Be able to stand for 8 hours a day.
• Be able to cross-train on the P.O.S. system to help in a rush.

• 1+ years of baking experience.
• 1+ years of food service.
• 1+ years of customer service.
• Hands-on experience with machineries such as mixers and ovens.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations.
• Communication skills. Must be able to convey information effectively to other workers or to customers.
• Detail oriented. Must follow recipes and instructions precisely. Should have an eye for detail because many pastries and cakes require intricate decorations.
• Math skills. Need basic math skills, especially knowledge of fractions, to mix recipes, weigh ingredients, or adjust mixes.
• Practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot food.
• High school diploma: relevant training is a plus.

BladeWorks Landscaping started in 1992. We provide commercial and residential property care: landscaping, lawn services, tree care, snow removal, and commercial holiday lighting. Over the years, our landscaping business grew and we began to see the need to open our own retail garden center to better serve our clients. Blooms Garden Center and Gift Shop opened in 2017. We carry annuals, vegetables, herbs, perennials, grasses, shrubs, evergreens and trees. The Gift Shop is filled with unique gifts, handmade goods, houseplants and home and garden décor.
