- ND Teaching License with appropriate qualifications to teach band/orchestra at the middle school and high school level
- Bachelor's Degree in music education or area of similar study
- Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the school community
- Knowledge of instructional strategies to address all learning styles and strengths
- Ability to work well with others, resolve controversy and conflict through respectful negotiation, and accept constructive feedback
- Strong communication skills to facilitate connection and sharing of thoughts and ideas in multiple formats with diverse audiences
- Ability to reason, interpret, and analyze information to generate new knowledge and understanding
- Adept at problem-solving, resilient when faced with challenges, and skilled in planning and organization
- Experience working at the middle/high level preferred

POSITION: Band & Orchestra Teacher - Heritage Middle School
TERM: 188-day contract beginning with the 2023-2024 School Year
SUMMARY: Provides instruction to students while creating a safe and nurturing classroom environment designed to promote intellectual and social emotional learning. This position will include extracurricular activities at Horace High School.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and education level, follows the 2023-2024 Teachers' Salary Schedule. Until available, please refer to 2022-2023 Teachers' Salary Schedule
In addition, the WFPS District funds the entire 11.75% employee contribution to TFFR, as well as the 12.75% employer contribution.
