MillCross Coffee Bar & Kitchen is looking for enthusiastic, experienced baristas to join our team. We are a specialty coffee bar and cafe based in Culver City. We are looking for gregarious and energetic team players with outstanding service skills who are driven and passionate about coffee. Our ethos is simple: coffee and community.

**Responsibilities:

Greet and interact with customers, providing everyone with an excellent experience

Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards

Represent and maintain the MillCross brand and culture, while also bringing excitement, enthusiasm, and creativity to programs

Properly handle and maintain all equipment

Prepare coffee and espresso drinks according to our standards of quality

Maintain a clean workstation while executing service with speed and precision

Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.

Taste and dial in to maintain consistent espresso extraction on the machine

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings (both coffee and food).

Observe relevant health and safety standards.

**The Ideal Candidate:

Is super positive and fun to work with

Professional

Understands the importance of customer service

Has a minimum of one year of experience in a cafe or other food/drink service-oriented hospitality.

Has exceptional customer service and communication skills

Is highly organized and efficient

Is available on weekends.

Has reliable transportation to work and is able to arrive on time.

Is a team player.

Is able to problem solve quickly and multi-task in a busy environment.

Can lift 25lbs

Is able to stand for long periods of time

Can handle a sometimes high-volume and loud environment

Has basic knowledge of a touchscreen POS System

Requirements:

1-2 yrs Experience at a 3rd wave/specialty coffee shop

Food Handlers License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
