Job Summary: The Bartenders of Big Wesser Riverside Pub & Little Wesser will oversee preparing beverages for guests and serving them at the bar. An ideal candidate will be prepared to: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, stock and maintain beer inventory and coolers, and welcome each guest to the bar in with a friendly demeanor. This seasonal position will open in May of 2022 and will operate through October of 2022.

Responsibilities

• Mixing batched beverages using a shaker, muddler and other bar tools
• Taking beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
• Satisfying guests requests in a timely manner
• Assessing customer preferences and making drink recommendations
• Collecting money for drinks served and providing change as needed out of bank
• Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all guests
• Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
• Cleaning the bar and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
• Organizing the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
• Slicing or preparing fruit garnishes for drinks
• Complying with all food and beverage state and local regulations
• Limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behavior.
• Taking food orders, making change and other aspects involved with handling the micros and a cash drawer.
