KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Bellman, valet drivers, front desk personnel, concierge, front office manager, security personnel
External: Hotel guests, visitors
POSITION SUMMARY:
Handles guest luggage upon arrival and departure. Rooms guests upon arrival and shares hotel information, including: restaurants, spa, pool, room amentites, etc.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
May perform the following duties to serve hotel guests: Escorts incoming hotel guests to rooms, assists with hand luggage and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions. Explains features or room, such as operation of radio, television, door locks and how to place telephone calls. Delivers messages and runs errands. Picks up articles for laundry and valet service. Delivers packages, envelopes, suitcases and trunks.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities)
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate (verbal and written) in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.17 per hour
