Primary Function:

This position is serves as a liaison between Butler Hospital and Brown University Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, and other third parties in collaborating research. This position assumes primary responsibilities for the management of major research projects in the Clinical Research department.

Responsibilities:

• Assists Principal Investigator in planning and implementing research
• Trains and supervises research assistants, volunteers, and trainees in neuropsychological assessment protocols.
• Oversees data collection procedures, including training research staff in appropriate data collection procedures, monitoring data collection, and establishing mechanisms by which data quality is ensured.
• Participates in the dissemination of study results through presentation, written reports and publications.
• Prepares grant applications to expand independent investigative program of research in imaging genomics.
• Serves to encourage partnerships and collaborations between Butler Hospital and the Brown University Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior as well as community programs and statewide coalitions to promote aging and dementia research in Rhode Island.
• Consistently adheres to Butler Hospital’s service standards.
• Adheres to the highest ethical standards set forth by the field of Clinical Psychology.

Job Qualifications and Specifications:

PhD in Psychology; completed Post-Doctoral training. 2 years experience in research of clinical mental health. Experience in behavioral or biomedical research.
