Job Summary
:- Teach Biblical Studies classes at the introductory or advanced levels during the fall and possibly subsequent semesters
Responsibilities
:- Design either an Introduction to the Bible course or an advanced Biblical Themes course as assigned (with support from the department) that meets a general education requirement for Bethel undergraduates
- Draw up a syllabus and maintain a course Moodle page
- Teach the class in person or online (in-person preferred), grade assignments and tests, and support students as needed to promote their learning
- Contribute to an academic environment that actively seeks to increase inclusive excellence in the department and in the discipline
Skills
:- Ability and interest in teaching undergraduate students
- Ability to explain complex biblical and theological concepts
Experience
:- Undergraduate teaching experience preferred
Education
:- Master’s degree in Biblical Studies or Master’s of Divinity required; PhD in Biblical Studies preferred
