We understand and provide expert consultation on network and weapons systems acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs.


We are currently seeking a Junior Bid and Proposal Specialist to support our corporate team in Lexington Park, MD.

Duties of this position include:

  • Provide support during all aspects of the proposal cycle by tracking data calls, proposal preparation, revision, and submission.
  • Maintain multiple pre-developed data trackers, filing systems, and internal tools to help support the bids and proposals team.
  • Respond to data calls using company information and templates.
  • Read and analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to track administrative requirements and develop proposal templates.
  • Analyze proposal opportunities and participate in team go/no-go decisions.
  • Remain current on all amendments and modifications throughout the RFP/procurement process by frequently processing emails.
  • Demonstrate creativity and excellent writing/editing skills in authoring past performance references.
  • Coordinate feedback and inputs from technical, contracts, and finance departments; and schedule internal reviews with upper management.
  • Conduct proposal quality assurance/compliance reviews to ensure proposals adhere to RFP specifications and the client’s requirements. Must have ability to specify edits and corrective methods to resolve compliance issues.
  • Participate in business development research projects.

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to receive direction, and work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communicator via email, Teams, as well as virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Open to learning new skills, technologies, and systems.
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and business language skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels across the organization.

Required Education: BA or BS in Business, English, Management, or related field OR 2-4 years of related work experience in an administrative or support role.

Required Experience: 1 – 3 years
