Must provides excellent customer service and the highest quality patient care.

Triage patient's in the exam rooms.

Takes patient vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, weight, etc.)

Reconcile patient medications in the EMR.

Responsible for EKGs

Assists physicians with patient exams as needed.

Responsible for Holter monitor hook-ups and removals, event recorders and Loop recorders.

Maintains cleanliness and supplies in patient exam rooms.

Takes pharmacy phone calls, reviews charts, and calls in prescription refills.

Returning patient calls in a timely manner.

Monitors samples, removing from stock as expired, keeping log of samples given out.

Receives and returns portal messages in the EMR.

Preparing patient's chart for the next day

Checking out patient's in the exam rooms

Scheduling surgical procedures according to the physicians orders with either the ASC or hospital.

Follows all OSHA and other safety guidelines.

Maintains current CPR and Medical Assistant certification.

At all times protects the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) of patients per HIPAA regulations; does not normally have business need for seeing PHI of employees.

Actively demonstrates teamwork at all times.

Performs other duties as required.

Works onsite within the clinic during scheduled hours. Regular attendance is an essential part of this role.

Will be required to follow physician between our Duncanville, Dallas, and Waxahachie locations as needed.

Salary is based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
