R.E. Uptegraff Manufacturing Company, LLC is a privately owned corporation that has been in continuous operation since 1925. We manufacture conventional and special transformers ranging in size up to 15,000 kVA with voltages up to 69,000 volts. We are located in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, forty miles southeast of Pittsburgh, PA.

• IMMEDIATE OPENING

We are looking for a talented Blaster/Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully blast/paint prep/prime and paint. If you are looking to join a company that values efficiency, quality and safety, this is a great opportunity to make an impact and grow professionally.

Applicants must possess or be willing to learn the following:

• Must have at least 2 years industrial coatings experience using paint guns and conventional paint pots.
• Must be able to read work orders, blueprints or receive instructions regarding painting
• Must have previous blasting experience
• Blasters required with ability to handle 120 PSI and work in a hot environment.
• Must be able to paint prep, removing debris (oil, grit, etc.) from surfaces
• Must be fitted to wear respirator
• Experience with conventional, HVLP, air assisted airless, electrostatic equipment
• Must have a solid understanding of mixing ratios
• Must be able to use a wet mill gauge and able to spray a wide variety of coatings (inorganic zinc, epoxy and urethanes, polyurethanes).
• Must be able to clean own pot, mix and measure chemicals according to specifications
• Must be able to log coating reports and complete computer spreadsheets.
• Willing to learn and cross train
• Simple Math aptitude
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, operate forklift, crane, etc.
