Job Description

Greenleaf Nursery is looking for a dependable delivery driver. We are a wholesale, 295-acre nursery, with 125 acres of ornamental plants in production. Greenleaf value employees who are team oriented, adaptable, self-motivated, and can work well under pressure. The primary responsibility of this employee is to deliver our plants to the correct location, specified by the traffic supervisor. We expect our delivery drivers to provide excellent customer service, to deliver plants on a timely basis, and help unload plants to customers. This is a seasonal job, with full-time hours, during our peak season (March to June dependent upon customer demand).

Role and Responsibilities

· Ensure your vehicle and trailer are safe before traveling.

· Double check that the plants are secure.

· Deliver plants on a timely basis.

· Adapt to your traffic supervisor’s delivery schedule changes.

· Report any accidents or break downs to your traffic supervisor.

· Assist in unloading plants.

· Communicate any customer related issues to your supervisor.

· Obtain customer signature on invoices and other paperwork.

· Return signed invoices, payments, and other paperwork.

· Other duties as required.

Skills Required

· Possess a valid driver’s license (REAL ID preferred)

· Pass a drug test

· Have a clean driving record

· Excellent customer service

· Years of driving experience

· Ability to back a trailer

· Ability to drive 4 hours straight

· Decision making ability

· Speak, read, and write English

Physical Demands

· Lift and carry plants that weigh up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to climb and use repetitive hand motions

· Drive for 4 hour stretches

· Work in heat, cold, rain, and wind

Education

Must have high school diploma or GED

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $15.25 per hour
