PRIMARY RESPOSIBILITIES
Provide leadership and be accountable for the management of the effective and efficient trucking operations that is consistent with company objectives. To help grow the branch from the ground up.
JOB DUTIES
· Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operation of a branch office of a tanker transportation company
· Arrange for shipping documentation and oversee the scheduling and dispatching of equipment
· Oversee maintenance and service of vehicles
· Recruit personnel and oversee their training
· Understand customer service requirements and respond to customer concerns should they arise
· Ensure that all staff are properly qualified, trained and certified to comply with all safety practices
· Ensure that all staff provides quality service in order to achieve company objectives and the highest level of customer satisfaction
QUALIFICATIONS
· High School equivalent with a minimum of five years operational experience in the transportation industry
· A high level of understanding of transportation operations with regards to customer service requirements
· Experience with product handling, preferably chemical and fluid hauling
· Supervisory, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Proficient in computer knowledge
· Valid Class A CDL w/ Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
