Branch Manager Trainee (Independent Contractor)

This is a hands-on, take charge, self-starting role where you learn all aspects of the Life Safety business and how to manage your own branch office. Starting with developing and building relationships with commercial customers in order, to grow the local and regional commercial customer base.
You will learn or improve project management skills from bidding, executing quality installations with state-of-the-art products (Fire, Security, Access, Cameras, Nurse Call, and Area of Refuge) and project closeout while maintaining laser-focused customer service.
All while meeting company quality standards, being accountable, owning your work, ensuring customer satisfaction, communicating productively and effectively. Take pride in being well-groomed, organized and have excellent computer skills with business software.
Qualification
- Have the necessary soft skills to be successful and desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Technical training helpful or ability/willingness to learn the technical aspects of the business. Willing to learn installation progress working a lead tech and become proficient and willing to execute quality installations with no supervision.
- Familiarity with the commercial Low-Voltage industry is preferred. Willing to learn and continuous improvement are necessary to be successful.
- Willing to learn business-to-business selling, cold calling prospective customers, and generating sales from personal networking and lead generation.
- Know or learn commercial service sales concepts, practices, procedures, and processes.
- Excellent communication skills with strong relationship-management and coaching skills.
- Ability to build long-term relationships with customers.
- Self-starter and self-motivated with a desire to learn and to grow the business.
- Proficient with computers and with Microsoft Office and G Suites; experience with project management software and AutoCAD or willing to learn.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Control your schedule and compensation.
- Ability to stand, to walk, and to climb stairs and ladders to assist technicians and learn the trade, ensure customer 100% satisfaction.
- Ability to reads technical cut sheets, blueprints, and manuals to ensure proper products are submitted in bids.
- Willing to obtain State of Utah required licenses
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
