Description

As a member of the Lower 48 Strategy & Portfolio Management (S&PM) group, you will fill an important role on a small cross-functional team that supports executive leadership decisions to optimize value and help build the overall strategy of Lower 48. This position involves senior level exposure and coordination with Asset teams, Corporate Finance, and others.

You may be eligible for the voluntary hybrid office work (HOW) program that is designed to provide employees with flexibility while maintaining the advantages of in-person engagement.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Lead consolidated annual Budget process for Lower 48, including schedule building, coordinating with Asset teams, QA/QC, communicating results to senior leaders, and preparing executive-level summaries
  • Lead monthly economic analysis of plant-level ethane election decisions and related periodic full-year forecasts; close coordination with Commercial and Asset teams
  • Provide leadership in the coordination and implementation of special projects originating from the executive team and senior leaders
  • Assist the planning team with development and implementation of new strategic planning vended solution to replace existing platform in collaboration with IT and Business Unit stakeholders; lead/assist eventual training efforts for new platform
  • Support Long Range Plan through collaboration with S&PM team and assist with QA/AC activities
  • Coordinate with Assets and Lower 48 Financial Analysis & Reporting team to develop centralized real-time production volume forecasting and leadership communication; analyzing and communicating latest expectations against quarter-end external guidance, for example
  • Serve as team’s primary liaison with planning System Administrator, prioritizing/communicating issues and enhancements; includes specific support of the system-driven price sensitivities process
  • Serve as S&PM representative/consultant for broader project replacing Lower 48 Essbase reporting

Qualifications


Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, related business discipline or foreign equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with the upstream energy industry
  • Advanced proficiency with MS O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams

Preferred:

  • 1+ years of experience using and developing PowerBI dashboards
  • Intellectual curiosity and exceptional analytical skills
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze processes and procedures to create improvements in
