Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst within the Decision Support Team utilizes their strong analytical, computer, and communication skills in order to adequately perform as a Consultant and Liaison at the Executive Level to other healthcare providers, Administration, Management, Auditor’s, Consultants, and other professionals. The primary responsibility is to design and support all Decision Support Software systems in order to meet or exceed SVH’s high standards of quality of care. The Financial Analyst will use these software programs to complete all monthly financial reports, the Annual Operating Plan, all long term financial forecasts, clinical outcome statistical analyses, case mix analyses, service line analyses, managed care reimbursement analyses, cost accounting analyses, benchmarking data, etc. The DSTeam financial analyst completes, analyzes, interprets, provides and facilitates the use of this data by routinely presenting proposals and recommendations to Administration and Management.

Functions as a liason to Administration, Management, Auditors, Internal and External professionals.
Prepare special cost studies and proforma's.
Complete service line analyses.
Maintain data transfers from various internal systems as necessary to maintain systems integrity and data availability.
Keeps abreast of changes occurring in health care industry.
Completes surveys/reports to meet internal/external requirements.

- Medicaid CPE Certification and settlement (Certified Public Expenditures)

Provide necessary support, documentation and research for various periodic state, regulatory and accounting audits as well as internal and External customers and/or agencies.
Provide accurate source data for State, Regulatory and Accounting audits that result in no formal audit findings for the organization.
Materially participates in various department and company-wide efficiency projects, meetings and processes.
Competent use of Microsoft Office Suite, as necessary for all job functions.
Competent use of Meditech accounting software package, as necessary for all job functions.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited four (4) year college or university with course works in accounting, business administration or related field.
Experience/Training:
3 years of recent healthcare or public finance and database management, required. A Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration may be substituted in lieu of
