Business Applications Developer
The Business Applications Developer will be responsible for the design, implementation, unit testing, and deployment of Web based business applications. Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of existing in-house business applications.
Responsibilities
- Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality
- Determine design methodologies and tool sets; Design and develop user interfaces to Internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle
- Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server scripting
- Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contribute to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
- Create, review, and execute test plans to ensure complete functional coverage
- Interact on a daily or weekly basis with other functional groups, such as operations and sales
- Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools
- Maintain historical records by documenting application development and revisions
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 5+ years development experience on a Microsoft Server environment is required
- 5+ years of experience with VB .NET programming is required
- 3+ years DB development experience with MS SQL Server 2008/2014
- 3+ years of experience with low level network communications protocols
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
