About this role:

The Business Development Associate will help drive sales and grow our business through market research, identifying viable business opportunities and pursuits, developing business strategies, and managing a variety of projects and initiatives. The Business Development Associate will also support proposal management in preparing outlines and response templates, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), maintaining, and updating proposal content, responding to data calls, reviewing/editing/ proof-reading proposals documents, and supporting proposal managers as needed.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Track all opportunities released and updated via procurement sites
  • Outreach to partners for draft/live opportunities
  • Organize and Lead standing Growth Scrum, Pipeline, and Gate Review meetings
  • Microsoft Teams Management
  • Accounting/Charge Code Support
  • Manage, update, and maintain Company Metrics Channel
  • Pull reports for Executive Team, capture, proposals, and others as needed.
  • Knowledge with AWS Coordinator
  • Knowledge of Gov Win and other databases
  • Responsible for managing the proposal repository (SharePoint, archiving and maintenance)
  • Download and evaluate RFPs, RFQs, Sources Sought and TOs
  • Work with the Proposal Manager to ensure proposal submissions are compliant with the applicable RFP or RFI instructions
  • Distribute status updates of RFPs, RFQs, Sources Sought and TOs
  • Development of Compliance Matrix and Outlines for all submission documentation
  • Scheduling of proposal events
  • Facility/equipment availability (To include conference rooms, overheads, etc)
  • Coordinating production (word processing, proofreading, editing, reproduction, printing, collation, and binding) of the final proposal, if needed
  • Coordinating with graphic designers to ensure that required graphic arts materials are produced to specifications and are ready to be included in the submittal
  • Interact daily with supervisor, peer groups, customers, etc.
  • Log all new opportunities on the “Pipeline”
  • Respond and coordinate data calls
  • Support growth and proposal meeting facilitation as needed and participate in debriefs
  • IDIQ Tracking
  • Proposal Writing, Coordination, and Support
  • Demonstrate ability to support multiple competing demands (Proposal Deadlines, Data Calls, Business Development, etc.)
  • Good communication skills (Potential Customers, Partners, Collaborating with other Growth Team members, etc.)
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Business solutions software skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Adobe)
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience and or understanding in Federal IT contracting
  • Familiar with Business Development Lifecycle
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams
  • Experiencing managing a CRM (Preferred)


Qualifications:

  • B.S Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of experience (preferred) Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Have experience working for the Department of Veterans Affairs or other government agency
  • Familiar with Shipley Proposal Method
