The Business Development Director, Data Products is responsible for leading and executing go-to-market strategies and driving revenue growth for Quotient’s data products. The role oversees the development of the new and existing data products, establishes business development plans and sales targets, and develops effective plans to expand Quotient’s client base and increase market share.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to build Quotient data products and achieve the revenue targets. Partner with the leadership teams across product, data science, operations, legal, marketing and sales to execute on the strategic initiative for Data as a Product
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners to drive Quotient’s data business growth. Educate prospective clients on Quotient’s value proposition and product roadmap
- Work with the internal stakeholders including Retailer Partnership team and product team to continue growing Quotient purchase and purchase intent data sets
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of client and partner needs on data products, industry trends, and competitive intelligence; Identify and pursue new prospects and outreach to existing partners about new data offerings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective delivery of data solutions to clients and partners, and the partnerships are successfully executed from start to finish
- Partner with the Data Science teams to create the standard taxonomy for Quotient Audiences. Curate and select best platforms and marketplaces to deliver the standard audiences
- Establish the process of building custom audiences, pursue the opportunities and answer ad-hoc requests for custom audiences
- Develop and implement training programs to support the CPG and agency sales team's skills and knowledge for data products
- Monitor and track sales progress towards revenue goals and identify areas for improvement
What You'll Bring:
- 8 + years of experience in data sales or business development, with a track record of driving revenue growth and expanding the partnerships
- Deep understanding and experience in data-driven solutions and technologies.
- Ability to articulate the data application within the ad technology ecosystem and media industry , particularly for audience targeting and measurement
- Expert negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to navigate potential clients to connect with the decision maker and close the deal with high-level leadership (including C-level)
- Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written) including experience with executive leadership
- Ability to analyze market demand to identify new opportunities
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
- Proficient in using sales management software (Salesforce)
In Colorado, California, Washington, and New York City, the annual base salary range for this role is $185K-$195k. The hired applicant will be eligible for an annual bonus and will receive an equity grant in the form of either a direct grant of stock that will be specified in the employment agreement or an option to purchase stock in the future for a specified price.
