Konica Minolta Sensing Americas, Inc., a leading company in the Imaging Industry specializing in Color Instrumentation and Light Measurement has an excellent opportunity for a technical business development professional to support our growing Light Measurement business.
KMSA is looking for a person who is achievement focused, enthusiastic to learn new technologies, strong in detecting problems and in proposing solutions flexibly according to various circumstances and has good people skills to develop human relationships.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Promotion of KMSA’s products to prospective and existing customers.
- Take the initiative to review current market trends, identify areas for improvement, and propose new business development ideas and plans that can improve sales.
- Proactively identify, pursue, and close new opportunities rather than maintain current business levels and relationships within existing accounts.
- Develop and manage multiple major corporate accounts.
- Communicate with KM’s global sales network for unified approach to major corporate accounts.
- Self-market to major accounts, including mailings, new product information, to generate sales leads and opportunities.
- Maintain and generate contact and project databases of major accounts.
- Manage territory sales representatives and daily sales through the west coast region CA, WA, OR.
- Conduct training and applications support to customers within the region.
- Forecast sales volume weekly and provide weekly and monthly activity reports to management.
- Provide presentations and onsite demonstrations of instruments and software at customer’s sites to close sales.
- Deliver on-site seminars to customers.
- Works various trade shows, regional sales meetings.
- Several years of applications or technical support experience.
- Ability to identify new business opportunities creatively and insightfully from data analysis or from marketing/sales relationships.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to speak publicly in front of large groups with confidence and poise.
- Proficient in MS Office, Python, MATLAB, C++, or other programming languages.
- Must Reside in California, and report to the Foster City Konica Minolta branch office (Onsite).
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field of study.
- 10+ years of capital equipment sales experience to large cap companies.
- Willingness to travel 75%. International trips may be required.
