Our Sales department seeks a Business Development Rep to support our highly advanced chemical analysis equipment sales team in our Linthicum, MD location. GERSTEL will provide extensive product training to support your success in the position.

The Business Development Representative contributes to system order sales by generating and qualifying leads. This position focuses on customer outreach resulting in lead generation and moving leads through the marketing pipeline. They connect with prospects and learn about their needs through various outbound channels. Additionally, this role develops relationships with potential customers by procuring and sharing relevant information regarding GERSTEL sample preparation and introduction systems.

• BA/BS required in the relevant field, Chemistry
• Laboratory experience with GC-MS preferred
• Aptitude for scientific and technical subjects
• Ability to utilize social media platforms
• Aptitude for cold calling that establishes quick rapport
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
