Lifepoint Health has an opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst - Remote. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be part of the Data Warehouse Solutions team based in Louisville, KY and Brentwood, TN. We support a remote workplace with occasional travel to Louisville or Brentwood. The Data Warehouse Solutions team is responsible for extracting and consolidating data from various source system applications and delivering information to business users in an impactful manner. This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for data and delivering value to the business with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools as needed. This position is primarily responsible for developing and supporting solutions to make operational and analytic data available to our business users for the payroll department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily.

  • Retrieves, analyzes, and summarizes business, operations, patient and/or clinical data to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness and/or predict business outcomes.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns and prepares ongoing reports and data visualizations (e.g., charts, dashboards, heat maps) to support business decisions. Typically uses dedicated business intelligence applications and/or cloud services.
  • Deliver results utilizing agile methodology for small-medium projects as an individual analyst and as a team member for larger projects which includes but is not limited to analyzing/documenting business requirements, developing/maintaining design specifications, creating/maintaining test plans, creating/maintaining user/support guides
  • Demonstrate excellent analytic abilities with minimal to moderate supervision and ensure that solutions meet business strategies and initiatives
  • Possess working knowledge of data warehousing and translation technology with the capability to analyze reporting data and analytic solutions using modern Business Intelligence tools
  • Participate as an effective team member as demonstrated by good oral and written communication and completion of all project tasks as assigned as well as delivering the project tasks on time which may require serving as a project manager for some small projects
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the business areas being supported
  • Provide ongoing support on production applications (on-call problem resolution) as required
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Analyze payroll systems- Kronos & UKG for internal customers and build out solutions.

Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.

Exhibit an understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education: Bachelors’ degree in Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field preferred

Experience: 3 years of experience in payroll, time keeping ,human capital management or analytics preferred. Experience with Kronos & UKG preferred

Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
