Description:
The Center for Systems Imaging Core (CSIC), one of the Emory Integrated Core Facilities (EICF). It provides state-of-the art research and pre-clinical human and animal imaging to the Emory community. The CSIC supports the Center for Systems Imaging (CSI), which is the cross-disciplinary scientific, administrative, and educational home for imaging science at Emory University. The goals of this center are to: (1) support the advancement of scientific research focused on the development of imaging biomarkers, (2) promote the development and application of biomedical imaging technology particularly magnetic resonance imaging, (3) provide core services for human and animal imaging studies, and (4) to build cross-cutting educational and training programs.
  • Works with Center Director, Program Directors, staff, Investigator Users and others to ensure the Center renders high quality services, including efficient and timely responses to queries, entry, access to and on-going use of the Center’s facilities and the resolution of any issues, along with the coordination of ancillary services and enhancement of research subject support and service improvement.
  • Provides administrative management of the Center’s human clinical and animal imaging services operations, including compliance with all applicable government laws, rules and regulations and University policies.
  • Compiles and produces monthly Center billing report to School of Medicine and reconciles data errors and discrepancies. Serves as the system administrator of the Center’s online services scheduling system and works with vendor IT support on resolving system problems and upgrade specifications.
  • Manages the Center’s finances and analyzes revenue and expenses. Monitors and reports monthly the performance of all Center service lines and budget variances. Drafts the Center’s annual budget and new rates for each of the Center’s service lines for submission to Center Director and School of Medicine. Maintains the Center’s service categories and pricing in School of Medicine’s Core billing database.
  • Plans, manages and is responsible for the Center’s administrative activities including contracting with external User organizations and specialty suppliers, generating services quotes to other Georgia Core Alliance institutions, budget planning, financial analysis, data processing operations.
  • Works with the Center Director, Program Directors and staff to draft annual capital equipment requests and report equipment inventory. Performs all Center purchasing in the University’s procurement system and manages major supplier invoicing.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Develops, administers and monitors budgets, accounts, policies and procedures relating to operational activities in the areas of human resources, finance, facilities management and research for a department, division or school.
  • Ensures that awarded grants conform to defined budget parameters and projects budget needs to accommodate future grant funding increases, changes and awards.
  • Ensures the preparation of operational and statistical reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • May supervise staff and perform related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field and five years of professional business or management experience or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • Some positions in this classification may require previous supervisory experience.
