Alpha Media – Anchorage, Alaska is looking for a full-time Business Office & Promotions Assistant for our Anchorage location. This is an entry level position and all training will be provided. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, balance priorities, take direction, work with limited supervision, possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment that is fast paced and deadline driven. You will be the face of the office and learn how to organize, manage the contests and assist the programming department with promotions as well as learn how to be the back-up on commercial logs. This is a great opportunity to learn every aspect of the radio business and support the Business Manager in all aspects of managing a radio station.

Responsibilities of this position may include the following:
  • Answer incoming calls on a multi-line phone system.
  • Welcome visitors, direct visitors and callers to appropriate personnel
  • Distribute prizes to winners and serve as a public relations contact with contestants.
  • Prize management/Digital Contest setup.
  • Sort and distribute mail, compile deposits.
  • Credit card payments/cash sheet updates.
  • A/P assistance.
  • Assist with monthly invoicing.
  • Prepare daily program logs for one or more radio stations.
  • Assist with end of day reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned and consistent with the job title.
Requirements of this position may include:
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Possess strong analytical problem solving skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing culture and environment.

Preference may be given to candidates who meet the above requirements plus have the following:
  • Experience working with Wide Orbit and vCreative traffic software.
  • Working knowledge of G-Suite Platform.
