Job Purpose:


A Business Process Analyst (BPA) is a specialty position that involves “thinking processes”. Candidate will draw inferences from process details and link these inferences to the big picture by considering business objectives in identifying process improvements. This role has the ability to structure a large amount of information within a process framework.

This position will work with cross functional teams to find the best way to design new processes and solve process-related problems. This often involves mapping existing processes and designing improved ones. BPAs are responsible for holding meetings, researching processes, collecting data, analyzing information, completing process documentation and performing related tasks.

Job Duties:

  • Analyze business processes and workflows with the objective of finding out how they can be improved or automated.
  • Responsible for leading process redesign discussions.
  • Facilitate process workshops and meetings, after which the role will document any information elicited using process maps and business required documents and liaising with users to determine the business goals they want to achieve and work towards.
  • Will apply knowledge of business process mapping to document procedures and present new process designs to stakeholders for discussion.
  • Will manage process change.
  • Monitor, measure and provide feedback on process performance.
  • Apply knowledge of business process modelling to documenting process.
  • Will perform special projects as assigned.


Education, Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associates degree Required, Bachelor Degree Preferred
  • 5 years of years of banking experience and knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of core banking systems
  • Strong analytical background and skills
  • Proven ability to run workshops and meetings.
  • Ability to problem solve and provide excellent customer service to both internal and external partners.
  • Proven team player.
  • Problem solving skills required
  • Project Management skills
  • Excellent diagramming skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification a plus. Green Belt Six Sigma preferred.
  • Business Process Management Certification (AIIM BPM Certificate, Certification from BPMInstitute.org, ABPMP’s Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP®) preferred.
  • Business Analyst Certification (CBAP/CCBA, BCS BA Certification, PMI-PBA, etc) preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of process related experience
  • 5 years of banking experience
  • Excellent Microsoft software skills
  • Ability to complete formal Business Analyst certifications
