Position Information

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR) oversees, develops, supports, and grows UNC-Chapel Hill’s $1 billion research enterprise. The offices reporting to the OVCR set strategic priorities for research, manage proposals and awards, provide research infrastructure, identify funding opportunities, develop research teams and partnerships, oversee regulatory compliance, and communicate the impact and value of the University’s research enterprise. The OVCR enables research endeavors for faculty, students, and scholars; encourages interdisciplinary research collaboration across campus; and fosters expansion and diversification of the University’s sponsored research portfolio by collaborating with foundations, federal agencies, corporations, and the state and federal governments. The Vice Chancellor for Research also oversees multiple pan-University, multidisciplinary research centers and institutes.

Position Summary
THIS POSTING IS FOR TWO IDENTICAL POSITIONS (20055114 AND 20055114) AND BY APPLYING TO THIS POSTING , YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR BOTH AVAILABLE POSITIONS .

The Business Services Coordinator is essential to the team supporting the research needs of more than 8 units that are supported by the Service Center within the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. The position will work across teams to provide post-award financial management support. The position will also support subaward management for several awards. It is important for this position to provide support efficiently and productively during peak proposal submission periods for continuous post-award financial management to enable monthly financial reporting process to continue without disruption or neglect.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
