The Role:

Boeing Research & Technology- Europe is searching for a Business Support Specialist. The position will be located/based in the Sheffield office and will work with technologists and experts across The Boeing Company.

Job description:

The successful candidate under general supervision will assembles data from multiple sources using applicable schedules. Under general supervision participates with organizational leaders in the development and implementation of plans and objectives (e.g. long-range strategies organizational goals objectives and initiatives) to meet requirements. Contributes by gathering data from multiple sources to compile reports of moderate scope and complexity for management reviews and tracking performance to plan. Supports meetings and reviews to ensure that visibility is provided on appropriate and required information. Supports leadership in determining the purpose and content of each meeting/review coordinates and compiles briefings and utilizes appropriate technologies to enable global interaction/collaboration. Organizes the logistics and facilitation of large meetings/events. Under general supervision gathers customer requirements for projects of moderate scope and complexity and ensures all requirements are met. Contributes to the development and maintenance of the project schedule and budget assists in monitoring and tracking execution of the plan and communicates status of the plan. Under general supervision maintains and tracks training requirements. Assists with content development by interfacing with the training organization subject matter experts suppliers partners and customers.

Responsibilities:

Specifically the activities will be including the following tasks (but not limited to):

  • Coordinate and check reporting inputs from partners or subcontractors
  • Prepare the required documentation and presentations
  • Support the correct fulfilling or financial figures in collaboration with UK contracts and finance department.
  • Prepare, coordinate and check documentations for audits and take all necessary actions to ensure risk mitigation
  • Provides office support to the site leadership and team with travel arrangements and logistics, expense reports.
  • Plans and implements logistics to coordinate events, meeting, visits. Co-ordinate visitor cards.
  • Ensure accurate update, filing of regulatory documentation as well as internal communication for suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track licenses status and co-ordinate with relevant functions renovation, transfers, changes and payment as required/needed.

Important information regarding this requisition: This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated professional qualities of integrity, reliability, confidentiality, initiative, sound judgment, problem solving and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate sound written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. - Friendly, cooperative, well organized.
  • Demonstrated competency in utilizing a number of appropriate software packages including Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness and ability to manage resources such as equipment, information databases and files.
  • Ability to utilize financial systems to reconcile expenses, track expenditure.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous work experience in a similar role – preferably working with Research and Development environment (in company and/or at the government).
  • Project Management experiences.
