JP Ecommerce is now taking applications for the position of Junior Buyer. This is an entry level position that offers training opportunities in the world of ecommerce supply chains for the best candidate.

JP Ecommerce was named one of the fastest growing businesses in the Twin Cities by Inc. 5000. As a Junior Buyer you will work directly with Manufacturing and International Teams to purchase and maintain our supply chain.

Desired Skill Sets:

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced data management environment
• Good understanding of spreadsheet design and management and/or ERP Type software used for purchasing
• Detail oriented and able to maintain several ongoing projects at one time

Responsibilities:

• Place and manage purchase orders to meet revenue and inventory goals
• Proactively maintain open purchase orders: ship date management, past due purchase order management, purchase order acknowledgement, on time delivery
• Highlight shortages and escalate as necessary to meet the demand schedule
• Reschedule and expedite deliveries when necessary, according to demand requirements
• Manage suppliers to ensure quality, lead time, delivery, packaging, and invoicing standards are being met
• Collaborate with warehouse to reconcile receiving / shipment issues
• Work with commodity managers to meet targeted price and inventory reductions, and supplier capacity
• Demonstrate ability to perform price and cost analysis
• Logging and managing container goods arrival dates
• Validate and approve invoices and manage payment approvals.
• Maintains reports and analysis as necessary
• Other supply chain, data entry, ERP, business, analysis, and duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Self-Starter
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Analytical & problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• International purchasing experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field, or in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or 2 years in a buyer position with another company
• Certification in supply chain related field preferred (CPIM)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
