Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel-Kingman is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Buyer. The successful candidate will process requisitions and purchase orders while always looking for ways to drive costs down; conduct warehouse reorders; communicate with current and potential suppliers; set up new vendors in Oracle; maintain office supply inventory; prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports; follow up on late orders; maintain purchase order files and contractor insurance using Oracle ERP System and WebCenter; and perform other administrative duties as needed. Safety is an important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards to always make safety a priority.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one year in procurement or accounting related fields
- At least one year Microsoft Office experience, specifically Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Oracle ERP system, Oracle WebCenter, and OnBase
- Knowledge of document imaging systems
- Warehouse and/or Inventory Management experience
