Gillmann Services is immediately hiring for Cabinet Technicians to join our TEAM in the Clearwater St Pete, Florida area. We offer competitive wages, great benefits, and growth opportunity along with steady year-round employment.

Description:

Performs quality work to produce custom cabinetry with veneers and assembles those components into a completed product.

Including but not limited to the following:

• Perform carpentry related work, including laminating, cutting, and gluing both mica and veneers on both straight and radius cabinets
• Applying Veneer onto cabinets with varying finishes
• Assemble Cabinets and install into boats in assembly area
• Cut materials to the right size and shape and trim parts of joints to ensure a snug fit, using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
• Trim, Sand, and scrape surfaces and joints to prepare articles for finish.
• Dip, brush, or spray assembled articles with protective or decorative finishes.
• Install Hardware such as hinges, handles, catches, and drawer pulls.
• Match materials for color, grain, and texture
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of adhesives, solvents, and other required chemicals
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved with finish carpentry.
• Know basic measuring tools used by field craftsmen and identify various widths and lengths of lumber. Attach parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps.
• Read a ruler to the nearest one-sixteenth of an inch. Be familiar with basic addition, subtraction, division and multiplication of whole numbers and fractions. Be able to measure with accuracy Open to change and considerable variety in the workplace

• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: and talk and hear.
• Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 10 hours per day
• Will climb stairs on an occasional basis
• Will exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a regular basis
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
