About the Position
The Cal-AIM Services Director will provide and manage Enhanced Care Management, Community Supports and CHWs services for Medi-Cal eligible adults (18 and older). Initially, clients will be referred from the Managed Care Plans (MCPs) contracting services from LifeSTEPS and as the program develops, clients will be also referred by LifeSTEPS from its own residents living in affordable housing and who are Medi-Cal and Medi-Care eligible. This position is responsible of the administration of Cal-AIM programs and functions in support of the Deputy Director, the Supportive Housing Services Team, specifically, the current ECM Team. This position is a member of Support Housing Services Team. Responsibilities include the hiring, development and performance management of support and professional staff and ensuring Cal-AIM services are provided in concert with the policies, procedures and regulations of the program.
Job Specifics:

- Job location: This position will work out of our Sacramento, CA corporate office location
Core Duties:
- Promote a culture of organizational excellence using LifeSTEPS values through the Oz Principles.
- Assist the Deputy Director (initially) with the planning, reporting, forecasting, and all other administrative aspects of the CITED-PATH grant.
- Assist the Deputy Director with the development, delivery and performance of Cal-AIM Services (Enhanced Care Management, Community Supports and CHWs) in Los Angeles County.
- Assist with the expansion to other counties in 2024-2025.
- Create Policies and Procedures manual for Cal-AIM Services.
- Ensures administrative compliance with all program activities; while developing and implementing plans to continually meet productivity within budget.
- Directs the delivery of Cal-AIM services which includes the supervision of the outreach and engagement, intake process and completion of case records to ensure documentation meets agency and funding sources standards.
- Responsible for hiring, development and performance of support and professional staff ensuring the CITED-PATH grant and services contracts with all Managed Care Plans (MCPs).
- Responsible for recruitment/selection process, leadership and professional development, assignment of duties, approval of leave quests and expenses, performance management, reviews, recommendation and salary increases of staff.
- Ensures compliance and contractual obligations are met and to minimize disallowance of funds; provides on-site training to support staff in meeting workload requirements.
- Leads and participates in the development and submissions of Request for Information (RFIs), Letter of Interest (LOIs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and/or Grant Requests.
- Develops and maintains a collaborative relationship with agency network, county and state officials, funding sources and CPI (Collaborative Path Initiative) network.
- Other duties as assigned and as the Cal-AIM program is developed and expanded.
Education and/or Experience: The minimum qualifications and training for this position are:
- A Masters degree and 5+ years of management experience in the field of social, health and housing services or a Bachelors degree with 10+ years of management experience in the field of social, health and housing services.
- At least 5 years in the management and delivery of Cal-AIM or related services: outreach navigation, engagement, housing deposits, housing location, and housing retention.
- At least 5 years of experience in programs focusing on underserved populations, homeless and low-income individuals and families.
