Working a summer at camp can be an extremely successful learning and growing experience for the staff member. You will learn and practice valuable life skills such as: Communication, Leadership, Teamwork, Flexibility, Time Management, Creativity, Negotiation, Building Professional Alliances. Plus, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children, learn something new, develop lifelong relationships while spending time in the great outdoors – it is a lot of FUN!

SHIFT TIMES:

• Morning Shifts
• Afternoon Shifts
• All-Day Shifts
• Camp is open from 7am-6pm and shifts are flexible

SUMMARY:

Responsible for planning, executing, and organizing summer activities including, but not limited to, art, sports, drama, music, and other fun activities. Must be familiar with behavioral characteristics and skill sets specific to school age children and able to plan programs accordingly. Must be able to adapt activities depending on size and skill of group.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supervision of program participants
• Ensure safety of all program participants
• Organize and implement activities
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Ability to have fun

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age is 17
• High school Diploma preferred
• Prior camp, or working with children experience
• Ability to play on a child’s level, and supervise from an adults level of safety

BONUS SKILLS

• Specialized skills i.e., EMT, lifeguard, Teaching certification
• Outdoor nature skills, or camp skills
• Arts skills, theater, crafting, singing
• Sports skills, coaching, playing, able to teach

Candidates must have final Criminal Clearance certificates prior to starting employment. This includes PA Criminal Certificate, NSOR Verification, PA FBI - Use Code: 1kg738 and PA Child Abuse.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Afternoon shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
