Car Washer Job Description

Hiring Schedule:
Scheduled 2 days/week (Must work Monday or Friday).
Must be available to work 5 hours between 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 2 days/week
Average 10 hours/week.
Starting pay: $14.00/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for washing and cleaning CBCO vehicles on a regular schedule so that the vehicles are clean for staff and present a professional appearance to the community.
Works with MUO Production Coordinator or the Central Supply Coordinator (when the MUO Production Coordinator is not available) to determine which DRS vehicles are available to wash/clean by checking the Mobile Operations Schedule.
Visually checks available CBCO DRS vehicles and determines which vehicle is dirtiest and pulls that vehicle into the car wash bay in the MUO Garage or chooses vehicle using predetermined schedule.
Washes and wipes down the outside of the vehicle and cleans the inside of the vehicle using the vacuum and cleaning supplies furnished.
Shampoos carpet/upholstery in vehicles as needed.
Washes/Cleans BOP Fleet Vehicles on a regular basis.
Assists Distribution Department in washing/cleaning delivery vans if time permits.
Records completion of each vehicle in the Van Cleaning Book.
Provides excellent customer service, cultivating positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers and external customers.
Exhibits safety, accuracy, respectfulness and efficiency within specific job tasks.
Assists with special assignments as directed by Sr. Director, Building Operations/Purchasing.

Physical Requirements:
Able to lift or move heavy objects (at least 50 pounds).
Good visual acuity.
Ability to climb and walk short distances.

Job Specifications:
Some experience in cleaning helpful.
High school diploma or equivalent (or working toward a diploma).
Excellent communications skills to provide positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers and visitors.
Must be 21 years old and have a driving record eligible to be approved by company's auto. insurance policy.
