• Performs cardiac and a variety of MRI procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative.

• The technologist will produce and evaluate MRI images for technical quality, properly identifies images and patient and effectively uses judgment for protocols and procedures.

• Responsible for the proper use of the RIS (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, proper completion of exams).

• Responsible for all other equipment used in MR (e.g. monitoring equipment, stereotactic biopsy equipment and any other devices used in MRI).

• Adheres to St. Francis Hospital and departmental policies and procedures and JCAHO/ regulatory agency requirements. Demonstrates and promotes service excellence at all times.

Requirements:

• NYS radiographer's license

• Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technology

• Knowledge and working experience in Cardiac MRI required.
