Join our Cardiology team as a Scheduling Supervisor! Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, supervise and provide direction of day-to-day operations for Regions Heart Center Coordinator staff. In conjunction with Cardiology leadership, this position hires, trains, directs, supports, and monitors the work of all Ambulatory Coordinators at Regions Heart Center and in reach sites. Assists in the development of department policies and procedures. Will demonstrate knowledge of Cardiology Department goals, strategic plans, and functions, and will recommend changes to improve service delivery across the Regions Heart Center Care locations. This position will also assist the Nurse Manager with project management as it relates to projects/initiatives related to Ambulatory Coordinator workflows. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree or higher in related field
  • Three years’ experience in an ambulatory clinic setting including patient scheduling and project oversight experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer candidates with one-year experience in Cardiology. Two years of Lead experience providing work direction and overseeing work product/ output.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of or experience working in a hospital-based clinic setting.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and/or techniques.
  • Knowledge of principles of management and the change process.
  • Ability to relate to management, physicians, co-workers, and the public in a positive and professional manner.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Leadership experience or demonstration of leadership capabilities.
  • Strong medical terminology expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone communications skills.
  • Ability to compile and present information in an organized manner.
  • Initiate problem solving and conflict resolution skills to foster an effective working relationship with peers and staff.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
  • Strong computer skills, with extensive experience in the Microsoft Office Suite and EPIC.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and ensure follow through.
