IPM Medical Group/Boomerang Healthcare are looking for Contract/Temporary Clinical Reviewers to work full time hours, Monday through Friday, remotely.
*This is a contract/remote role for those who would like to work as an independent contractor.*
We are looking for licensed healthcare professionals to join our Care Navigation team to evaluate patient medical records for specific data on patient care, support treatment planning and timely matriculation. These medical providers will work closely with providers ensuring patients are making progress in their treatment, identify any possible barriers, assist gathering records, following up on requests and authorizations and supporting patients through their care.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
· Understanding of the California Workers Compensation system.
· Review patient medical records in EMR for specific data, progression of treatment plan and treatment modifications.
· Telephone patients as needed, gathering information, reviewing treatment plan, assisting patients with coordination of care, and offering treatment recommendations as medically appropriate.
· Coordinate care with various parties including, but not limited to, claims adjuster, attorney, and outside providers.
· Communicate effectively with member of our treatment and/or administrative staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be a qualified healthcare professional (QHP) such as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant or Certified Nurse Specialist.
· Licensed in the state of California.
· Experience with medical review process.
· Knowledge of medical terminology.
· Have reliable internet access and access to a personal cell phone.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
· High attention to detail and the ability to extract relevant qualitative data from non-relevant qualitative data.
· Experience with workers compensation insurance is a plus.
