Responsibilities include:

• Recognize and report abnormalities and/or changes in the patient’s health status and responses to treatment to a licensed professional.
• Provide personal care such as bathing and dressing, patient home safety and companionship.
• Provide assistance in activities of daily living and complete necessary tasks to promote patient health, including assisting patients with basic hygiene needs, maintaining an optimum level of mobility and assisting patients with nutritional intake, as needed
• Assist with transportation to doctor's appointments, grocery, pet care as requested etc.

Experience:

• Must have at least one year experience in care giving in any setting including hospital, nursing home, assisted living, or home health/private duty.
• Experience with completing Activities of Daily Living: bathing, dressing, cooking, light cleaning, toilet assistance, transfer
• Hoyer lift/sliding board transfers

Performance Qualifications:

• Honest, reliable and timely
• Able to follow specific protocols of care
• Cheerful disposition and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Position requires bending, stooping and lifting/transferring up to 40 pounds.
• Reliable transportation, valid Texas DL and automobile liability insurance

* This PRN position is benefits eligible for the coverages listed above, however to be eligible, there is a 6-month look-back period to which an employee must be working an average of 30 hours per week/130 hours per month.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
