Position Purpose:

Under direction, this position is responsible for handling all aspects of HCS and Com-Solcustomer payment applications, including checks, EFT's and credit cards. Performs intricate reconciliations of customer accounts and ensures that unapplied payments are handled in a timely manner, with an annual volume of 1,551M transactions. Also assists with monthly journal entries and Shred It live checks deposits.

Key Job Activities:

• Process and accurately apply all incoming payments (including Lockbox, Live Checks, Credit Cards, EFT/ACH, Wire Transfers, Electronic Lockbox) for all customer accounts
• Process Salesforce cases to maintain departmental goals. Duties include but limited to analyzing customer’s AR for potential payment discrepancies, perform account reconciliations, transfer funds between customer accounts, and process customer refunds
• Analyze customer’s accounts to prepare detailed and accurate reconciliations for internal and external customer’s requests
• Collaborate with cross functional groups to ensure all cash posting, journal entries, and offsetting adjustments are processed in a timely manner while following SOX compliance guidelines
• Regular verbal and written communication with internal/external customers to resolve on-going payment issues to clear outstanding balances and unapplied payments and process refund requests
• Prioritize and resolve escalated internal/external customer requests
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Education:

Experience:

• Education equivalent to graduation from high school, or the equivalent in related work experience demonstrating a working knowledge in payment sources and processing
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience with a focus in Cash Application or a background in banking and finance. Demonstrating a good aptitude for mathematics and high-volume data entry skills
• Demonstrates advanced computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and SAP experience
