Job Overview:
We are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated part-time Catering Chef to join our growing team. The Catering Chef will be responsible for preparing delicious and healthy meals, ensuring the highest quality of ingredients, and maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for providing healthy and delicious meals to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
- Cook food using various utensils or grilling equipment
- Monitor food during cooking to stir or turn as necessary
- Ensure proper presentation by dressing dishes before delivery
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment, adhering to all sanitation procedures
- Properly store all food and other items in accordance with safety guidelines
- Monitor the quality of ingredients and report any issues to management
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a professional kitchen
- Familiarity with using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
- Ability to adhere to all sanitation procedures and maintain a clean workspace
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
