CDL Truck Driver (Class B)

Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial motor vehicles with gross vehicle weight rating in excess of 26,000 pounds; (GVWR of 26,001 or more).
- Knowledge of local roadways and the ability to effectively use maps and directions for efficient routing.
- Plans daily route that best meet the customer’s needs in the most efficient manner.
- Verify parts are properly identified, accompany required paperwork and properly packaged for transporting.
- Participate in loading and unloading vehicles using hand and powered equipment.
- Responsible for securing the load using approved devices and methods.
- Keep vehicles clean and orderly.
- Demonstrate customer service standards that promote good working relations with customers.
- Comply with all federal and state regulations and procedures.
- Follows company Quality and Environmental Management policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Requires valid Commercial Driver’s License with Class B CDL certification and DOT Physical Examination medical certification.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety regulations/DOT guidelines.
- High School degree desired, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in related field
- Good language, reading skills
- Analytical skills
- Visual Acuity
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Judgment required to plan and perform work where only general guidelines are available.
- Physical stamina and strength
- Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted
- Drive and Operate Forklift
- Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills
- Must be authorized to work in the US
