Job Description:
The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for injury prevention, care and treatment of patients/athletes and will assist the medical staff in caring for our outpatient/orthopedic patient care needs. The Athletic Trainer will be assigned to a site to provide athletic training services including practice and event coverage. The Athletic Trainer will also assist in providing exercise programs to injured patients/athletes as well as conditioning programs. Maintaining records of treatment plans, physician notes, and daily logs is required at the assigned site. Handling clerical tasks such as maintaining inventory, assisting with budgets, and restocking supplies is also required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
Master’s Degree required or 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in sports medicine, athletic training or equivalent in lieu of Master’s Degree.
Licensed Athletic Training in OH (required or eligible to obtain)
Obtains/maintains CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Communication and other skills:
Functional in Excel, Power Point and Word.
Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior
Interact with all coaches, administrators, and physicians as appropriate for needs of the athletes
Able to function as part of the sports medicine team
