Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) $35 Per Visit

Job Description

Fountain Hospice is hiring qualified & licensed CHHAs (Certified Home Health Aides) join our team of professionals. CHHAs are closely supervised to ensure their competence in providing care. At least every 14 days the registered nurse (RN) makes an onsite home supervisory visit to assess relationships and determine whether goals are being met. This is done with or without the aide’s presence.

The CHHA will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of patient's care.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Performing personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/he requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately.
• Meeting safety needs of patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2 etc.)
• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed lined as often as assigned.
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
• Documentation after each visit.

Physical Requirements:

Requires considerable physical effort most of the day including kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting, climbing, walking, exposure to temperature and humidity changes and maximal assist in lifting and/or transferring of a 100 pound patient. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices that will enable senses to function at a level required to meet the essential duties of the position. Must provide evidence of annual TB test and other state-required tests or examinations.

Working Conditions:

Be able to tolerate exposure to elements including, but not limited to, odors, blood, body fluids and excrements, adverse environmental conditions and hazardous materials.

Transportation:

Must have a current valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
