Come highlight your creativity and passion for culinary design with a locally owned new upscale wine bar in Surprise. Join our award winning team, learn and work aside some of the industries most talented. We seek a Garde manger to build beautiful Charcuterie boards and desserts that are always picture worthy. With the right skills you have the ability to design each board to your vision; every board is different and we have a wonderful variety of options to build the boards. We have house made desserts that are showcased with beautiful presentation. Employees work less than 45 hour weeks and the pay is well above industry standard for the right candidate.

We believe in highlighting and supporting small locally owned businesses, fresh ingredients in all dishes, seasonal menu rotations to showcase fresh produce, a focus on healthy eating alternatives, and options for all guests.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the preparation and design of food and menus
• Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
• Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements and skills

• Experience in the industry
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Ability to follow and execute recipes for sauces and dips
• Excellent record of performance and attendance
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
