The Chauffeur is responsible to enhance the overall Resident experience through the provision of exceptional oversight and implementation of the Facets™ program, providing the residents opportunities for participation through transportation. This is to be handled in The Sterling Touch® friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner, resulting in a very high level of Resident satisfaction. This position is under the general guidance of the Director of Facets™, in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures, practices and philosophy.


Essential Functions:

  • The Chauffeur participates in Start Sterling! line up every day.
  • The Chauffeur greets the Residents, guests, fellow employees and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • The Chauffeur drives the van, bus or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs and in accordance with scheduled appointments and Facets™ calendar of events.
  • The Chauffeur provides the residents' opportunities for participation in transporting residents to grocery store, monthly outings and extended trips.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Facets™ or Facets™ Assistant in supporting residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
  • Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van. Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Clean and wash vehicle; housekeeping duties on bus as required.


Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.

Licenses or Certificates:

  • Class D - Chauffeur License in Iowa

Schedule:

  • Part-time Hours
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends
