Community Healthcare Network, is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the underserved communities of Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan and Queens. Through the care we provide at our Health Centers and through our various programs, we touch the lives of 85,000 people annually.

JOB FUNCTION:

The Chief Technology Officer is primarily responsible for ensuring that the organization’s information technology adds the necessary value to the business so as to ensure its success.

As a condition of employment, we require that all staff are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Therefore, all new employees need to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and are required to provide documentation of receiving the Covid-19 Vaccine


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Set objectives and strategies for the Information Technology (IT) department.

2. Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize strategic benefits.

3. Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve the patient experience.

4. Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other key stakeholders within the organization.

5. Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers.

6. Oversee the organization’s technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems), including the organization’s Electronic Medical Record (eCW), to ensure optimal performance.

7. Direct and organize IT-related projects.

8. Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the organization can gain competitive advantage.

9. Manage staff performance in order to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

10. Compliance with Employee Health Services.

11. Participates in the development of departmental policies.

12. Effectively recommends or participates in hiring, discipline, or termination.

13. Ensure compliance with:

  • Performance evaluations
  • Employee Health Services of subordinates
  • Agency and clinic/Department orientation of new employees

14. Facilitates related services for health center patients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.

15. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.


What We Look For:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related area
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of applicable experience or satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience
