Childcare Enrollment Coordinator (for DayCare School)

Building Blocks Learning Academy I is a child care center serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position assists the Executive Director and Center Director with day-to-day administrative duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
- Provide front desk customer service
- Ensures files are complete and maintained
- Data Entry & record keeping are very important
- Operate Office equipment (i.e. copier, scanner, computer, fax, calculator
- Manage Multi-line phone system
- Order & Maintain office supply inventory
- Engages with current and prospective parents and family members and is responsive to their needs
- Keeps the management informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of children
- Assists and accepts responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other personnel are not available
- Attends and participates in all staff meetings, center events, and parent/customer meetings as requested
- Comfort and support pre-schoolers through one-on-one moments of basic care needs, play, and communication
- Enjoy collaborating with a talented team of early childhood professionals
- Candidate must keep excellent record keeping and have good organization and tracking of daily follow-ups and lists. Track daily attendance of children
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE
- Associates Degree, preferred
- Certificate in Food Safety and Sanitation, CPR and First Aide desirable
EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years in a fast-paced office environment
- ***MUST have experience with CCAP & Head Start***
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to relate to the child on their physical level; this includes walking, standing, stooping, running, sitting (on the floor, desk or chair), climbing, crawling, kneeling, pulling, lifting, carrying, and crouching
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Required knowledge of Microsoft office (Access, Word, Excel PowerPoint and Publisher)
- Required knowledge of Quick Books
- Strong computer skills
- Strong background in office environment
- Detailed oriented and very organized
- Relentlessly enthusiastic
- Some accounting experience a plus
- Physical examinations
- Must provide medical evaluation forms every two years, initial with a current TB test.
