Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Civil Designer opportunity for our customer in Greenville, SC to support a DOE Construction Design Project.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct review of model using 3D review platform and create 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity
- Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of advanced complexity
- Prepare layouts for conceptual and detailed designs of advanced complexity
- Check work done by other Designers
- Review drawings of advanced complexity within the civil discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements
- Perform material take-off analysis and tabulations

Civil Design Knowledge
- Strong Understanding of Civil industrial work/ Preparation of Civil Construction Drawings:
- Site Layout and Geometry
- Grading and Drainage
- Storm Drain Design
- Erosion and Sediment Control
- Stormwater Ponds
- Routing of Underground Utilities (storm drain, sanitary/process sewer, firewater, water, and others)
- Sanitary Sewer Design (gravity and pressure systems)
- Advanced knowledge of:
- 2D and 3D design software and procedures
- 2D and 3D software (AutoCAD Civil 3D)
- Basic knowledge of:
- Civil related Permitting (Stormwater and Erosion/Sediment Control)
- Boundary and topographical surveys (civil)

- Ten (10 years min) Civil work-related experience
