Scope

This position will lead, direct and manage the claims process for a team of Commercial Property adjusters, specifically handling Excess & Surplus Commercial Property claims. The position will also be responsible for developing staff and executing strategies to achieve goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient/consistent delivery of service to our customers and business partners that meets or exceeds Chubb's standards. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

The desired candidate is service-oriented and results-driven and must also possess excellent administrative, leadership and organizational skills. Candidate must be able to make timely and appropriate decisions. Experience in performance management, training, staff development, and succession planning is a strong plus. This position will:

Directly supervise and oversee a Property Claim team including completion of performance reviews and recommendations of annual compensation.
Monitor daily workflow of claims within the unit to ensure service and compliance level adherence.
Ensure appropriate and proactive handling activities in all phases of the claim, including coverage, investigation, case management, reserving, evaluation, negotiation, and file documentation.
Ensure thorough coverage evaluations, and detailed analysis that are well documented. Escalate and appropriately communicate coverage issues to leadership as appropriate.
Demonstrate, implement and coach adjuster teams on effective resolution and claim strategies to ensure favorable disposition of each claim.
Provide outstanding customer service and work with the insured, broker and TPA (when applicable) in the adjustment of claims
Coach adjuster teams to proactively adjust losses and utilize aggressive diary management system to achieve favorable inventory results and prompt resolution.
Maintain current oversight diaries on files as necessary to monitor development provide direction and identify trends that require positive reinforcement or attention for improvement.
Confer with Chubb leadership team on individual exposures, developing trends, and trends within the industry and legal environment.
Assist in a technical capacity with claims that are high value and/or complex.
Work collaboratively with teams to drive consistent level of customer service.
Establish and maintain strong customer relations
Participate in regular and meaningful discussions with internal and external business partners

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
Designations from CPCU, SCLA, AIC, etc. are preferred.
Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities.
Minimum of 5-7 years of Commercial Property handling experience and 3-5 years of Property Claim Management experience --handling of Quota-share and/or Manuscript policies is highly desired.
Extensive coverage/contract knowledge.
Strong analytical and investigative skills.
Strong abilities in coverage application, litigation, and contractual relationships.
Superior verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
