Principal is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a
Client Investment Associate in our Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS) Department! Are you a meticulous person who loves to take on new challenges? This may be the position for you!
In this role you will use your attention to detail and organizational skills every day to deliver accurate and timely investment transaction services. This includes collaborating across multiple areas to understand needs and turn those into solutions. You'll partner with RIS Administration, RIS Distribution and Financial Professionals to meet client investment objectives and enhance relationships with clients and their financial professionals.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Understand overall objectives of RIS investment strategy and the Business Standards of RIS.
- Coordinate investment coding and transaction processing on the RIS Client Investment Transaction Team for complex investment changes.
- Maintain a deep knowledge base of investment related information, products and services.
- Process investment coding with accuracy and within customer timing and initiate additional requests as needed to complete client objectives.
- Communicate effectively through oral and written communication. Providing consultative assistance on investment related topics.
- Maintain basic knowledge of plans, contracts, services, record keeping, and account systems related to DB and DC investment services.
- Perform job related duties and investment related projects as required.
- High School degree and 5+ years of prior work related experience
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Must obtain FINRA registration
- FINRA Series 6 or 7 and Series 24 or 26 are required within 6 months from date of employment
- Additional FINRA licenses may be required
- General Pension knowledge, including various Pension systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, interpretation, negotiation and research skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment and be willing to challenge decisions as necessary
