Summary:
This position will work with Phillips & Jordan Environmental Services (PJE) pre-event disaster recovery clients to build long-term strategic partnerships and prepare for a disaster on at least a yearly basis. Typical clients are Cities, Counties and States where disasters such as hurricanes, tornados, floods, mudslides, fires, etc. are expected. While being assigned to a specific Region and the clients within that Region, the Regional Manager is responsible for establishing a quality relationship with each client and maintaining contract obligations such as yearly coordination meetings, visits and other needs a client may have prior to any disaster affecting their area.
Essential Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Address client concerns in a timely manner.
- Travel to and establish relationships with personnel and assigned key clients and business partners.
- Meet assigned goals and objectives in assigned key clients.
- Represent company in yearly disaster debris management and removal coordination meetings with clients.
- Actively uses Phillips and Jordan CRM & Power Bi systems.
- Develop client and pursuit strategies.
- Support data mining pursuits and can maintain excel spreadsheets.
- Review Request for Proposals, determine what information is required and support proposal development.
- Identify key client challenges and seek solutions through planning and coordination.
- Leverage professional networking skills to help identify and pursue other pre-event contract opportunities.
- Must have ability to travel quickly to any area impacted by a disaster and potentially stay for a minimum of 2 weeks straight.
- After a disaster strikes, mobilize and provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project.
- Onsite manage any type and size disaster response project throughout the Country.
- Become familiar with FEMA regulations and monitor operations to ensure FEMA compliance.
- Attend and participate Disaster Industry Conferences throughout the Country.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5+years previous Management Experience in Construction type industry.
- Knowledge and overall understanding of heavy equipment and construction jobsite safety.
- Good problem-solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve).
- Experience reviewing RFP s and preparing proposal responses.
- Communicates client interests and needs to PJE team members and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns.
